Madeleine is unable to speak after being sexually abused at the age of seven. Since then, she has received loving care from her parents. She is now nineteen. An unknown man, Jerry, offers her a ride when she is on her way to one of her regular doctor's appointments in town. He takes her to his apartment. After dinner, he slips a drug into her drink. Jerry makes her addicted to heroin and forces her to write to her parents saying that she has run away. He forces her into prostitution to get money for heroin.
