While filing for divorce, the beautiful former stripper Roslyn Taber (Marilyn Monroe) meets aging cowboy and gambler Gay Langland (Clark Gable) and former World War II pilot Guido Racanelli (Eli Wallach). The two men immediately fall in love with Roslyn, and on a whim, the three decide to move into Guido's half-finished desert house together.
