Kevin Jerome Everson's epic, immersive, and observant eight-hour documentary Park Lanes follows the workers in an American factory during an eight-hour shift, from clock-in to clock-out, experienced and presented in real time. By highlighting the often invisible and unconscious routines and rhythms of the manufacturing industry, the film also celebrates the craftsmanship and skill developed through the repetition of movements and gestures, exploring not only the relationship between film and viewer, but also between workers and their machines.
