A large man (professional wrestler Keiji Muto) travels from Hokkaido to the dilapidated garbage dumps of outer Tokyo to find his beloved fiancée, but meets a nightclub diva who has lost her ability to sing. When he is drawn into the gladiatorial pits of a Tokyo nightclub, the mountain man agrees to fight in exchange for information about his lost love, but also finds himself drawn to the various attractions of the big city. This unconventional love story uses powerful imagery in a deliberate attempt to visualize the contrast between people who live in harmony with nature and those who live in urbanized civil society.
