Julian Kaye is looking for someone to please. Boyish and sensual, he speaks five or six languages and is just as happy being a chauffeur for a rich middle-aged woman as he is being a translator for the lonely wife of a director. He is the American gigolo. But Julian's love for his lifestyle is quickly transformed when one of his clients is murdered and he becomes the prime suspect. Richard Gere is electric as Julian in this stylistic, sexually charged film from Paul Schrader (Light Sleeper, Cat People). Lauren Hutton plays one of the supporting roles.
