Planet Earth in the near future. Natural resources are increasingly limited. Technology is advancing at a rapid pace. The state monitors people's private lives. Robots already exist, performing everyday tasks such as housework and gardening. However, there is one thing these robots cannot do, and that is show emotions. This is something researchers are trying to solve, as not all parents are able to have children of their own.
