Two cousins, David (Jesse Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin), travel to Poland to explore their origins. The trip is paid for by their beloved grandmother, who left them money after her death to see the house where she grew up before she was forced to flee during the Holocaust. But the trip becomes just as much an exploration of the cousins' bond with each other.
