When Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader) accidentally destroys the town square with his latest contraption, which then shoots up into the clouds, he thinks his career as an inventor is over. But then something amazing happens ? delicious cheeseburgers start raining down from the sky. His machine works! But when the greedy inhabitants want more and more food, the machine starts to run amok with spaghetti tornadoes and giant meatballs that threaten to destroy the whole world! Now Flint, along with weather girl Sam Sparks (Anna Faris) and Steve, his talking assistant monkey, must find a way to shut down the machine before the whole world is covered in giant meatballs!
