But it soon becomes clear to Veronica that JD is a sociopath who is determined to take revenge by killing the school's popular students. She tries to stop him, which leads to a conflict with the gang's new leader, Heather Duke (Shannen Doherty), and an explosive final confrontation with her troubled ex-boyfriend.Directed by Michael Lehmann, Heather's teen comedy ventures into dark and nightmarish territory and is distinguished by the career-defining central performances of its stars, Winona Ryder and Christian Slater.
