When the manager of a gold mine in Johannesburg is killed in an accident, Slater, his replacement, is unwittingly drawn into a criminal scheme to flood the mine and force up the price of gold.

Gold is another Wilbur Smith adaptation directed by Peter R. Hunt (You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service) and starring James Bond himself, Roger Moore, in the lead role, a rolling thriller and suspenseful action film.
