A film as important in the world of comedy as Welles' masterpiece was for the "serious" genre. Like the Marx Brothers on steroids, Ole Olsen and Chic Johnson go berserk in this groundbreaking crazy comedy about a film shoot where everything goes to hell (literally), packed with insane, anarchic antics that left people speechless. Povel Ramel brought this style of comedy to Sweden under the name "Flugighet," Mel Brooks was so fond of the film that he named one of the characters in Blazing Saddles after Olsen Johnsen, and the successes of the flying trio Zucker, Zucker & Abrahams clearly draw on the film.nbsp;THE FLYING FLY is still loved for its crazy humor and funny musical interludes.
