Gaspar Noé is one of the most controversial directors of our time. He made his breakthrough with Bad Lieutenant and a few years later made the chronologically reversed rape/revenge film Irreversible – as renowned for its original style as it is for its uncompromising scenes of violence. He was assisted in writing the screenplay for Enter the Void by his Bronshästen Award-winning partner Lucile Hadzihalilovic, director of Innocence.
