Emily's mother is a famous children's book author who writes stories about the magical kingdom of Faunutland. Life for Emily and her mother is quite tough at times, as they both mourn the loss of Emily's father. But Emily fights on and does everything she can to make her mother happy again. One day, she finds an enchanted chest containing a magical storybook and is mysteriously transported to the fairy-tale world of Faunutland. There she meets the confused but very kind fairy Nightinglar and the strange giant monster Belorac. Unfortunately, it soon becomes apparent that dark forces are taking over Faunutland. Together with her new friends Nightinglar and Belorac, Emily must embark on an adventurous journey to fight the dark forces and set everything right in the world of fairy tales.

Emily and the Magical Journey is a charming adventure with an imaginative story for the whole family. Swedish duo Jenny Lampa, who also plays the fairy Nightinglar, and Marcus Ovnell are responsible for the script, direction, and production. Filming took place in Skåne. A locally rooted film with a strong international outlook. To date, it has been sold to an astonishing 130 countries.

The lead actor, Tipper Seifert-Cleveland, has previously appeared in Game of Thrones, Krypton, and Disney's Cruella. The music is by Joe Kraemer, known for films such as Jack Reacher and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.
