Driver dagg faller regn DVD
In 19th-century Hälsingland, the wealthy farmer Germund promises his daughter Marit to Mats, the son of his neighbor. But fate has other plans, and Marit falls in love with Jon, a socially outcast fiddle player who is considered by the community to be in league with the devil. Their union brings everything to a head in the superstitious farming community. National romantic director Gustaf Edgren broke all records with "Driver dagg faller regn" (When the Dew Falls, the Rain Falls). The film became the biggest Swedish box office hit of the entire 1940s, attracting two million cinema-goers. The beloved film couple Mai Zetterling and Alf Kjellin, who had previously enjoyed success in "Hets" in 1944, shone in the leading roles.
