Dogra Magra Limited Edition Blu-Ray

Sale price479 kr

A man wakes up in a mental hospital with no memory. Dr. Wakabayashi helps him recall his past, in which he killed his bride on their wedding day. Part of his memory is linked to another doctor, Dr. Masaki, and a manuscript, Dogra Magra. As the two doctors treat him, reality and fantasy become blurred, and the patient becomes uncertain of his identity or his doctors' experiments. The last feature film by Toshio Matsumoto (Funeral Parade of Roses) is a film adaptation of the famous novel by Kyusaku Yumeno, a gothic tale with a sense of dreamlike horror reminiscent of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Cure and the mystery of the locked room in Shutter Island. Dogra Magra is a fantastically photographed phantasmagoria by Tatsuo Suzuki (Pastoral: To Die in the Country) and is presented on Blu-ray for the first time outside Japan. BLU-RAY IN LIMITED EDITION
