In the liberated Sweden of the 1970s, the most popular film genre was spelled S-E-X. Censorship rules in the Western world were deregulated and horny teenagers lined the streets. The biggest hit was Danish softcore porn starring Ole Søltoft. Mazurka på sängkanten even managed to beat Bondrafflet Diamantfeber's audience figures by a wide margin! But it wasn't real porn. More like Åsa-Nisse-spex with a few boobs. The first film that put the word PORR in GLADPORR in its true context was I JUNGFRUNS TECKEN, again with Ole Søltoft. It was a huge success, ranking fifth on the list of the biggest box office hits in Sweden in 1973. And the figures for the five sequels continued to be high, with a total of an incredible two million cinema-goers!

The money poured in for producer Anders Sandberg, who shelled out to get big names to participate. Torben Bille himself (The Sinful Dwarf) shows up, as do several stars from the TV hitMatador, and in Sweden, headlines were made when the great Ingmar's sexy daughter Anna Bergman and discus star Ricky Bruch signed on.
