THE KNOCKOUT OF THE YEAR! Studio S strikes hard with the most unique DVD box set of the year, combining laughter, tears, and adrenaline-fueled drama around two of the world's most popular sports... soccer and boxing!

At ringside and corner flags, you'll find the cream of Swedish acting talent, such as Åke Söderblom, Thor Modén, and Åke Grönberg, as well as the cream of Swedish soccer talent. In two of the feature films, the Swedish national soccer team (both the 1931 and 1942 versions) appear as themselves.

DEN STORA SPORTBOXEN is packed with bonus material and will delight anyone with even the slightest interest in sports and nostalgia. Good heavens, it even has a priest who knocks someone out!

HANS LIVS MATCH (1932)

Bribes, betting (as it was called back then), jealousy, love, and—of course! - soccer are the main ingredients in this drama about a young bricklayer's journey to the Swedish national team. By Per-Axel Branner with Björn Berglund, Birgit Tengroth, Sigurd Wallén, and Håkan Westergren. In Yellow and Blue (1942)

Jerka's life is all about soccer, soccer, soccer, and his girlfriend Britta. He is center for the small Stockholm team BK Stella but is courted by a bigger club and later also the national team. By Elof Ahrle with Christian Bratt, Einar Axelsson, John Botvid, and Kaj Hjelm. (1943) Björn Harring, a theology student with a powerful right hook, tries to make amends for his drinking and dancing in a small town in northern Sweden. To win over the young people, he anonymously enters a boxing match under the guidance of returning trainer Charlie Ågrens. By Hugo Bolander with Åke Söderblom, Allan Bohlin, Thor Modén, and Gaby Stenberg. TINI-KLING (1951) The producer behind the adventure Kon-Tiki (1950) takes Birger "Farsan" Sandberg, Hasse Jeppson, "Tvilling" Andersson, and the entire Djurgården team. Here, various local sports are tested, such as chinlon in Burma and Thai boxing in Bangkok, all mixed with soccer. By Lennart Ehrenborg. BRUDAR OCH BOLLAR (1954) Two real players, the moped-loving goalkeeper "Mopeden" (Åke) and the tall center "Längen" (Kajken), sign contracts with a professional club in Naples, Italy. Over the course of the season, "Moped" and "Längen" help the Naples club reach the top of the league and the series final against Roma. By Bengt Järrel with Åke Söderblom, Kajken Forsgårdh, and Åke Grönberg.

DEN HÅRDA LEKEN (1956)

Conny, a working-class boy, makes it big as a professional boxer. But the hard life takes its toll. This film is one of the titles in the book "Tusen svenska klassiker" (A Thousand Swedish Classics), where it is referred to as the Swedish equivalent of "The Bronx Bull."
