A POWERFUL AND BRUTAL BELGIAN DRAMA ABOUT DRUG DEALING, POVERTY, AND VIOLENCE

14-year-old Johnny is a street-smart drug dealer who spends his days in a group home for young people. One day, he tries to rob the successful actor Anthony of his wallet, but gets caught. Instead of pressing charges against the boy, Anthony begins to use Johnny as his new source of cocaine. When Johnny can no longer return to the group home on weekends, Anthony becomes his new protector in the nightlife. The strong bond between them should help create a better life for both of them, but even though they have each other, no one can escape the cruel world of drug dealing, whether you're a dealer or a user.

Dealer is Jeroen Perceval's debut film as a director and screenwriter, but he has previously been an actor in films such as Bullheadand Borgman. Dealer premiered at the Fantastic Fest 2021 film festival.
