Rufus Sewell stars in this science fiction thriller directed by Alex Proyas. When John Murdoch (Sewell) wakes up in an unfamiliar hotel room, he discovers that he is suffering from amnesia and is wanted for a series of murders. Pursued by Inspector Frank Bumstead (William Hurt) and a group of pale men known as the Strangers, Murdoch flees into a city shrouded in perpetual darkness. As he struggles to uncover the truth about who he is and what is happening to him, he makes a shocking discovery about the Strangers and their relationship to him.
