Cruel Gun Story Blu-Ray
Togawa (Joe Shishido, Branded to Kill) is released early from prison by his bosses in the underworld. They force him to carry out a daring robbery of an armored vehicle, knowing full well that he has no choice, as he needs the money for his sister's operation. With several partners and different aspects of the operation, there is a lot at stake and not everything is as it seems. A variation on Stanley Kubrick's The Killing from Nikkatsu's "Action" series. Takumi Furukawa directs this yakuza story with the same skill as in classic American noir films from the 1950s, with hard-boiled characters and enough twists and turns to make your fedora spinning.
