The renowned and noble warrior Li Mu Bai intends to retire and live a life of tranquility. He therefore hands over his legendary weapon, a beautifully ornamented sword called the Green Destiny, to Yu Shu Lien, a woman he is secretly in love with.Destiny, to Yu Shu Lien, a woman with whom he is secretly in love.Li wants Shu Lien, who is also highly skilled in the classical martial arts, to take Green Destiny to Beijing and present the sword to the respected Mr. Te.Li himself plans to go to Mount Wudan to pay homage to his teacher, who was poisoned a few years ago by the dreaded villain Jade Fox.
