Sam Peckinpah's classic road movie CONVOY (1978), based on a song by C.W. McCall's hit of the same name, stars Kris Kristofferson and Ali McGraw. A mighty convoy of dusty trucks is heading for a state border in the southwestern United States. The massive collection of vehicles of all shapes and sizes is led by "Rubber Duck" (Kris Kristofferson), a legendary truck driver who has assembled this enormous army in protest against police corruption, federal and state laws, and shady political games. The law cracks down on truck drivers, forcing them to comply with unrealistic speed limits that cost them precious time and money. The National Guard, the Army, the Police, and the FBI are all out to stop the truckers, but the truckers don't want to stop!
