Cat's Eye (Blu-ray)

Take a seat for a terrifying journey with Stephen King at the wheel! In New York, we meet a big shot (James Woods) at an anti-smoking clinic with methods that are unusual, to say the least, but extremely effective. But the clinic is also run by a mafia family. In Atlantic City, we witness a poor tennis star (Robert Hayes) being persuaded to gamble and forced to walk around a hotel along its 12-centimeter-wide ledge—on the 30th floor! And in Wilmington, we meet a young girl (Drew Barrymore) who has problems with a disgusting little monster that crawls out of her bedroom wall every night. Her parents don't believe her, so she has to rely on help from an unexpected source...

Stephen King himself wrote the screenplay for CAT'S EYE, which is extremely unusual. Two of the stories are taken from the horror master's short story collection Graveyard Hill, while the third was written specifically for the film. Lewis Teague, who also scared us with Cujo, is responsible for the direction. Chicago Sun-Times
