By A Mans Face Shall You Know Him Blu-Ray
A community fights against immigrant gangs in the ruins of post-war Tokyo. Only Dr. Amamiya (played by former yakuza Noboru Ando) can save them, but he has had enough of fighting in the war. His pacifism is put to the test by the gang's increasingly violent actions, and when his neighbors decide to take matters into their own hands, Amamiya is forced to act. The consequences turn out to be much more far-reaching than he could ever have predicted. With a story spanning three time periods, Tai Kato's ambitious reworking of the yakuza film was one of the first films to tackle the taboo subject of Japan's Korean citizens, and it has had a major influence on later directors such as Kinji Fukasaku and Takashi Miike.
