Blood on the Crown (DVD)
A SMALL ISLAND NATION IN CONFLICT WITH THE WORLD'S GREATEST MILITARY POWER
1919. After more than a century as a colony under British rule, Malta is a country in ruins. Unemployment is rampant, the poor are dying of starvation, and the country's own politicians are terrified at the mere thought of standing up to the tyrants. Most people do not believe that Goliath can ever be defeated, but things are about to happen. The power comes from below, from workers and students, whose anger grows into a bloody uprising with the goal of doing the impossible—overthrowing the world's greatest military power!
BLOOD ON THE CROWN depicts a historic uprising that the British were quick to cover up a century ago. This is the first time it has been portrayed in a feature film. Harvey Keitel and Malcolm McDowell shine in the cast, and the producer is Roland Joffé, who was nominated for an Oscar for directing both The Killing Fields and The Mission.
"BRILLIANT WAR DRAMA. A THOUGHT-PROVOKING FILM WITH THE HEART OF A LION."
