Frank runs a small advertising agency and has just landed a lucrative account. He quickly spends the money on a new Volvo and a dream house in the country for his family. But they barely have time to move into the house before strange things start to happen. Doors open by themselves, wallpaper constantly falls down, and there are scratching noises coming from the walls. Is it really just rats behind there—or something much worse?

BESÖKARNA is something as unusual as a really good Swedish horror film. Directed by Joakim Ersgård and written by him and his brother Patrik (only 26 and 23 years old), the film was a success far beyond Sweden's borders and paved the way for Joakim's career in the US. The film has been digitally restored by the Swedish Film Institute and is being released on Blu-ray for the first time. It is also available in its original cinema version, which is nine minutes longer than the VHS and DVD versions.
