Behind the walls of a seemingly peaceful convent, a zealous abbess tries in vain to maintain order and prevent her sexually repressed charges from experiencing the sins of the flesh. When the unfortunate young nuns go too far, the church imposes cruel punishments for their carnal crimes.

The erotic, colorful, and charged Behind Convent Walls features stunning cinematography by Luciano Tovoli (Suspiria), and Borowczyk's wife Ligia Branice makes her final appearance.
