Basket Case 1-3 The Trilogy (2-Disc Blu-ray)
New York Observer's Rex Reed on Basket Case:
"THE SICKEST MOVIE EVER MADE"
...and we promise: parts 2 and 3 are even worse!
"WHAT'S IN THE BASKET? This is the curious question Duane constantly asks when he arrives in New York. Those who want to take a look don't live long! Because in the bag is Duane's grotesquely deformed twin brother Belial. An ugly and evil bastard with razor-sharp teeth and claws—out for revenge!
BASKET CASE was the very, very disturbing debut film by Frank Henenlotter, shot on a shoestring budget. The film quickly became the talk of the town and ran for two years as a midnight movie in New York. Over time, the film has gained popularity even outside cult circles and was inducted into the Museum of Modern Art in 2017. In Sweden, the censors made six cuts totaling 3.5 minutes in the first film.
Parts 2 and 3 are several notches more violent, and therefore it was considered pointless to even attempt to get them approved by the censors –
so they are only now premiering in Sweden!
