Barnen från Frostmofjället DVD

Several generations of Swedes have been touched by The Children of Frostmofjäll over the years. When it was released in 1945, it sold over a million cinema tickets! The story of the seven parentless children's adventurous journey in the company of their beloved goat Gullspira is just as gripping today. While depicting the vulnerability and misery of children in 19th-century Sweden, it is a timeless story of faith, hope, and love.

The film is based on Laura Fitinghoff's 1907 novel (which sold 110,000 copies) and was directed by children's film giant Rolf Husberg, who also filmed several Astrid Lindgren books. The beautiful photography was the work of Oscar-winning legends Sven Nykvist and Olle Nordemar.
