Barfly Blu-Ray

Hollywood royalty Faye Dunaway and Mickey Rourke give the performances of their careers in this semi-autobiographical film based on the life of author and poet Charles Bukowski. In the seediest part of LA, poor writer Henry (Rourke) meets disfigured woman Wanda (Dunaway) and discovers they have one thing in common: alcohol. These desperate and dissimilar souls drown their sorrows every night and ignore the chances that could help them escape their empty lives. Barfly is dark with a bitter aftertaste and captures the worst moments of human existence and how it can be destroyed by the love of (not so) good things.
