No one is safe from their unfocused rage. This is a journey that can only end one way.Baise-moi is based on Virginie Despentes' scandalous novel from 1993. When it was to be made into a film, Despentes enlisted the help of Coralie Trinh Thi for the screenplay and direction. Both had a background in the porn industry. That is also why they recruited most of their actors from that world. With its raw mixture of (unsimulated) sex and (simulated) ultra-violence,Baise-moi was the focus of controversy even before its premiere. In the quarter century that has passed, this contribution to the French new wave of the millennium has lost none of its ability to shock and shake the viewer.
