American Yakuza (Blu-ray)

The Japanese mafia, known as the yakuza, is spreading its influence in the United States. FBI agent Nick David is assigned to infiltrate the organization and manages to save the life of one of the leaders, making him the first American ever to be accepted into the bloody brotherhood. As Nick participates in the war between the yakuza and the mafia, he begins to appreciate his position a little too much. The underworld is about to explode, and Nick must now choose between the allure of the gangster world and his loyalty to law and order.

AMERICAN YAKUZA is now being released on Blu-ray for the first time, which Studio S is the only company in the world to do. The film's success gave Viggo Mortensen a boost in his climb to blockbusters such as Red Sea, G.I. Jane, A Perfect Murder, and of course the role of Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Since then, Mortensen has focused on more serious roles, which has resulted in three Oscar nominations in just ten years, most recently for Green Book.
