In this live-action version of the animated classic, we meet the Genie, who has the power to grant three wishes to whoever possesses the magic lamp. Aladdin is a streetwise thief who falls in love with the sultan's beautiful daughter, Jasmine. Jasmine wants to be able to influence her own life, but her father wants nothing more than to find her a husband. Meanwhile, the evil sorcerer Jafar is plotting to depose the Sultan so that he can rule Agrabah himself.
