The powerful industrial magnate has become fabulously wealthy from a thing you scratch your ass with. Unfortunately, he is a mean devil, which causes his son to try to murder him. This fails, so the father simply throws his son into the sea. There he gets caught in underwater vegetation, but soon adapts to life at sea and hibernates. With the spring flood, he is washed ashore—into a world that has completely changed...
Hasse Alfredson's wonderfully absurd feature film debut mixes fairy tale with biting satire. Max von Sydow, Birgitta Andersson, and Gösta Ekman shine as father, mother, and son. Hasse himself also plays a memorable role.
The film won a sensational number of awards at the Tomelilla Film Festival, where it was the only participant.
