When Private Adamsson sees an officer being beaten up by a horde of cowardly thugs in the amusement park, he does the only right thing and goes into battle. But, being the unlucky guy he was born to be, Adamsson is falsely accused of the assault and forced to flee from the police. With rebellious novel manuscripts in his backpack, the lawless young man wanders through Gothenburg's harbor district to the lumberjacks' camp in the north, driven by the desire to "become something." Many are after him along the way, not least women of all kinds. Because this is a charming bastard too!
