A Touch Of Love Blu-Ray
A TOUCH OF LOVE (1969), directed by Waris Hussein, is a film adaptation of Margaret Drabble's novel The Millstone. Sandy Dennis (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf) plays the lead role as Rosamund, a student and daughter of emotionally distant parents. After her first sexual encounter with the handsome TV commercial actor George, played by Ian McKellen (The Good Liar, The Lord of the Rings), Rosamund discovers she is pregnant. After a failed attempt to terminate the pregnancy, she decides to keep the baby, despite pressure from friends and relatives. She prepares herself for the humiliation and isolation that comes with being a single mother and is determined not to reveal the father's identity, as she realizes that no matter how much she needs a man, the only important thing in her life is her child. The film also stars John Standing and Eleanor Bron.
