A Time For Dying Blu-Ray
A Time for Dying is the last western film from one of the genre's greatest directors, Budd Boetticher (Ride Lonesome), and the last film starring war hero and movie star Audie Murphy (To Hell and Back). The film is an unusual, elegiac look at the old West and precedes Don Siegel's classic western and John Wayne's last film, The Shootist.
Richard Lapp plays the lead role as a young man with good shooting skills who meets real people, such as Jesse James (played by Murphy) and Judge Roy Bean (Victor Jory), only to discover the real violence of the West.
A Time for Dying has suffered from post-production and distribution problems and is delayed in receiving the recognition it deserves.
