A Severed Head Blu-Ray
Dick Clement followed up the success of his first feature film Otley with this ironic adaptation of Iris Murdoch's famous satirical novel from 1961, a harbinger of the sexual liberation that would blossom in the mid-1960s.
A Severed Head depicts the sexual and amoral escapades of a group of middle-class, middle-aged London couples, portrayed by a wonderful cast that includes Ian Holm (Alien, The Lord of the Rings), Lee Remick (Days of Wine and Roses, The Omen), Claire Bloom (The Haunting, The King's Speech), and Richard Attenborough (10 Rillington Place, Young Winston). A Severed Head is absurd and wonderfully funny, a dark satire staged with humor and intelligence.INDICATOR STANDARD EDITION SPECIAL FEATURES
